Passenger terms (DBD app)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the DBD app to request rides, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Account

Your account is created automatically the first time you verify your phone number. You are responsible for keeping your phone number and device secure.

3. Fares & Payment

Fares are calculated by the platform based on distance and vehicle type before you request a ride. You may pay via MMQR or cash at the end of the ride.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel a ride before it is completed. Repeated cancellations after a driver has been assigned may affect your ability to request future rides.

5. Conduct

You must treat drivers with respect and not request illegal activity. Reported misconduct may result in suspension or removal from the platform.

6. Safety

The platform connects you with independent drivers and does not control their vehicles or driving. Verify the driver and vehicle details shown in the app before entering the vehicle.

7. Limitation of Liability

The platform acts as an intermediary connecting passengers and drivers and is not a transportation carrier. Drivers are independent operators, not platform employees.

8. Promotions

Promo codes, automatic discounts, invite rewards and other offers are set by DBD and may be paused, changed for new rides or ended at any time. One promotion applies per ride. A discount may not apply if you switch to a payment method the offer does not cover. DBD may withdraw a promotion, an invite reward or an account's access to promotions if it finds misuse, such as several accounts on one phone or rides that did not take place.

9. Information We Keep

To run rides and payments, DBD keeps your phone number, ride history, trip locations and payment records. To prevent misuse of promotions, the app also records an identifier of the phone it runs on, stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form. You can turn promotion SMS off in Settings; login and ride messages are always sent.

10. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Contact

For questions about these terms, contact support through the Call dispatch option.

Driver terms (DBD Driver app)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering as a driver on the DBD platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Driver Eligibility

You must hold a valid driving license, a registered and roadworthy vehicle, and any permits required by local law. You must upload your NRC, license, and vehicle registration for admin verification before you can accept rides.

3. Vehicle & Safety Standards

Your vehicle must meet applicable safety and roadworthiness standards. You are responsible for its condition, insurance, and legal compliance at all times while online.

4. Fares & Payment

Fares are calculated by the platform based on distance and vehicle type. Passengers pay via MMQR or cash. You must not solicit off-platform payment for a platform-arranged ride.

5. Commission & Payouts

A commission is deducted from each completed ride's fare. Your remaining balance may be withdrawn once it reaches the platform's minimum payout threshold; payouts are processed manually by an admin.

6. Bonuses & Balance Corrections

Bonus campaigns count only paid rides that match the campaign's rules. A bonus can be taken back if a ride it counted is later found unpaid (for example an MMQR payment that never arrived), and bonuses or your account may be withheld for rides that did not genuinely take place. DBD may also correct your balance for mistakes; every correction appears in your earnings with its reason.

7. Conduct

You must treat passengers with respect, follow traffic laws, and not discriminate against passengers. Reported misconduct may result in suspension or removal from the platform.

8. Account Suspension

The platform may suspend or reject your account for failed document verification, safety complaints, fraud, or violation of these terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

The platform acts as an intermediary connecting passengers and drivers. You are an independent operator, not an employee, and are responsible for your own tax and legal obligations.

10. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Contact

For questions about these terms, contact support through the Call dispatch option on your Account screen.
